Life on Board

We didn't spend much time on the boat during the day. However, as I mentioned in the last post, there was a very friendly and informative naturalist on board who helped us spot birds, etc. on shore and told us about the history of the area. We went through several locks along the way, and that was always educational and fun. Sometimes that took place in the middle of the day...other times in the middle of the night.

Other time on-board included yummy food, music, lectures and dancing. Most of us had taken lots of books to read, expecting lots of down time. But, I don't think most of us got too much reading done. It was so great to be able to share the time with our family! It was particularly fun to watch Papa and Mama enjoy the evening musical programs.

We had a couple of great staff members that joined in the family fun throughout the week. We were the largest group on board and took up the whole middle section of the dining room. Lots of laughs! Fun stuff!
