I have to say that one of my favorite places anywhere is the Oregon Coast. What fun it was to return there once again...my third time in the past 4 years. Ahhhh. There's just something about it. An aliveness that I feel more there than anywhere. Scott decided that it is because as we were walking down along the beach there were things to touch all of the senses. We could feel the wind on our faces and the sun beating down on us. We could hear the sound of the waves crashing, the sea gulls chattering, etc. We could see the beauty of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. We could the taste the salt on our lips as we played along the beach and we could smell various ocean smells. We spent time along various beaches. Our favorite was Heceta Head, but we enjoyed many. I think that Scott enjoyed it more than he has in the past. We explored tide pools, looked for rocks and shells, dabbled in the water and just enjoyed being together.
We went to the Tillamook Cheese factory the first day and enjoyed the tour, the squeaky cheese and the YUMMY ice cream. That night we spent the night in Lincoln City, but made our way up to Depoe Bay before settling in for the night. Dad had been looking so forward to a bowl of clam chowder and a marionberry tart at Gracie's Sea Hag, a quaint restaurant I found in Depoe Bay a few years back. He enjoyed it so much that we went back the next morning so that he could have another marionberry tart for breakfast. :) The second day we enjoyed time at Devil's Churn at Cape Perpetua and Heceta Head. We also went down to Florence, with a little stop to see the Sea Lions. We didn't go down to the caves, but could see them on the rocks just down the road. Fun times! Ahhh. I love that place and it was fun to share it with Scott.

Thanks for posting the pics in all of these posts.
Nicole said we should move to Oregon so you can have more opportunities to visit your favorite place on earth - I almost agree with her (more so we can live in one of the prettiest places on earth).
Hope things work out for us to make a trip out there some year...
