Butterflies

We enjoyed a wonderful trip to Dallas over Memorial Day weekend. My only complaint is that it went by too quickly. It was rainy off and on throughout the weekend, but luckily we squeezed in a visit to the Arboretum...mostly between rain showers, although we did get a little wet.

The gardens were expansive and beautiful. Here are a few shots from the Butterfly Garden. Not like a butterfly garden I have seen before. In this one YOU are the body of the butterfly and the flowers are the wings. It was pretty damp to lay down on the rugs, but Julia, Dad and Alli braved it...although Alli ended up being a sitting butterfly. Just thought I'd share the fun.

Ya know, the more and more I see of Dallas through Jed and Laura, and your pictures - the more I wish we lived somewhere else....so many fun things to do in Dallas - I have to admit I'm a smidge jealous.

Glad you guys got to experience the euphoria of being a butterfly for a moment :)

Love, Joanna
