What a great weekend! It passed so quickly--too quickly. But it was wonderful to be able to celebrate with and congratulate Jed and Laura for their accomplishment. And to be able to see all of our family gathered once again. It doesn't happen all that often, and we rejoice when it does. We got up to Rexburg Friday evening, after stop offs in SLC to see Grandma Marilyn and Grandma and Grandpa Whisler. We joined up with Joanna and Cory for that and enjoyed those short, but sweet visits. We wish that we could have visited everyone longer, but the fact is that we live a long ways from Idaho and the journey is time-consuming. We got all settled in and between Jed and Laura's house and Paul and Nicole's, we found a spot for everyone to lay their heads. Thanks to Laura and Nicole! You were great hostesses! Your homes were lovely and inviting and we enjoyed what little time we got to stay in them. Saturday morning we all got up early and headed off to graduation. Elder Russell M. Nelson spoke in the convocation--he's always great. And Jed spoke at Commencement, so that was a treat as well. He did a great job! It was fun for Jed and Laura to be able to graduate together. Laura's dad, Tom, was there for the occasion, too, so that was fun. He and Laura put on a great barbecue that afternoon and that evening we went to a great restaurant for a celebration dinner. Saturday evening we spent some time together and then Joanna and Cory headed up to Idaho Falls to visit some friends and Dad, Julia and I spent the night in Idaho Falls in preparation for getting up early and getting started on our long journey home. A great weekend, all-in-all. Here are a few shots from graduation. More to come.
p.s. Jed's news about his internship in Dallas is posted on his blog--go take a look! In the second photo down he and Laura are standing in front of his senior project which was on display in the art building. I will post photos of it at a later date. Great work!

So glad to hear that you all got to get together! That will be nice to have Jed, Laura, Alli in Dallas - is it close enough for you to visit comfortably? I love the pictures - blogs are great! Love you lots! Good luck finishing your class. :) Happy Scrapbooking Day. Love Alicia
