Today is our Grandma Lusk's 96th birthday! 96 years! That is so amazing. She was born on February 24, 1913,and she's still going strong. While her physical body has slowed down in recent years, her mind remains alert and almost unchanged. She and Grandpa Lusk are roommates in a Portland nursing home and continue to be a source of strength and encouragement to each other...and to all of us who know and love them. Grandma has a beautiful testimony of the Savior and more faith than anyone I know.
My favorite memories of Grandma are sitting beside her in church when I was a little girl, Sunday dinners at their house after church,and their visit to me in Austria when I was on my mission. I have been blessed to visit she and Grandpa 4 times in the past few years...twice to celebrate her birthday. Wish I could be there today, Grandma! These pictures were taken this past September, on a visit Scott and I made to Oregon.
