Bosque del Apache

Here are a few pictures from our jaunt down to the Bosque del Apache, about 20 miles south of Socorro,New Mexico. The Bosque is a 90+ sq. mile bird refuge, which is home to literally thousands of wintering birds, such as snow geese and sand-hill cranes. If you are there around sundown you can see them fly in for the night and if you return in the morning you can see them ascend together for their morning flight. It was a beautiful experience. Chilly, but wonderful.
