And the Fun Goes On

So, Paul and Nicole went home on Monday and Joanna and Cory and the boys went home on Tuesday. Julia spent the week here. It was so good to see everyone. Thanks for making the effort to come--Dad was truly surprised. Sorry Jed and Laura and the girls couldn't be there. It all happened very spontaneously and very last minutish. That was what made it so fun.

It's always fun having Julia home. We stayed up late watching movies, went to lunch, shared music and had fun. She also got to see a few of her friends, which is always fun. A couple of her good friends had gotten home from missions in recent months. Seeing them was fun.

At the week's end she rode back to Cedar City with us, and then went on to Rexburg, to start back to school. Scott and I stayed in Cedar City for the week, to spend time with the boys while Joanna and Cory went on a cruise that they had earned through work. It was fun to have Scott there. I usually go by myself to take care of the grandkids, but it was fun to have a partner. We ventured out a lot more than I would have on my own. We decided that since this was Scott's vacation for the year we'd make the most of it. We enjoyed time in the temple in St. George (taking turns watching the boys) and took them on adventures to Bryce Canyon and Zion's National Park. The weather was perfect and the scenery outstanding. And the boys were super well-behaved in the car, which made it nice. So, here are some shots from our week of fun.
Awww! Being a grandparent is lots of fun. Tiring. But, lots of fun!
